Alan Weyers, studio owner and a member of the S.A. Guild of Ceramics Restorers and Conservators, has a wide range of experience in fixing, restoring, and creating pieces. 

Alan studied art, including sculpture, in high school which provided an appreciation for form and colour.  He trained with the South African Academy of Ceramic Conservation, which enhanced his technical skills, broadened his vision of what is possible in restoration, and developed his appreciation of conserving historical pieces. Alan's formal training has also highlighted the ethics and integrity with which the restoration and conservation of objects of any kind must be approached
